I Heart CVS

CVS Receipt 1-27-08How many times can you come back from the store and say that you’ve spent 47¢ on shampoo, conditioner, gallon milk, a candy bar and mouthwash?

Forty-seven cents!!! I know, that sounds crazy, but I just did!

Mr GC was pretty impressed with my recent “lavish spending” that he commented that 47¢ on all the stuff I bought is a complete rip off…. for the 1920s.

*Grins*

To top it off, I also received over $8 in Extra Care Bucks (or ECBs to the pros out there).

For those who are new, the ECB is the automated coupon generating system that prints money-like coupons at the register, that can be used on your next trip at CVS/pharmacy®. This couponing system reels you back to their stores – not something that I mind altogether… as I had been successful in keeping my expenditures quite low lately ever since about the CVS system a few months ago.

I have to say however, that without coupons, my total expenditure would have been over $17. But, I had $5 worth in coupons and $12 ECBs from a previous purchase that allowed me to pay poor CVS only 47¢.

I owe my spendthrift ways to the fantastic women out there, especially Stephanie Nelson at CouponMom and the numerous women who seek out deals as much as I do. Hats off to you!
